Becoming A Craft Momma!

I have been working on a major project for the last few weeks, that I feel it's time to share! I wanted to set myself goals this year and this project was one of them!

When Emilee was born I was given a Sewing Machine as I wanted to make a cushion for on top of a bench I have in the play room (That still needs to be done) but instead I started researching other sewing project that I wanted to try. getting super excited of course I jumped right into it, pretty sure Pietro was sick of looking at different patterns, probably all looked to same to him ;)

Of course it was trail and error for many weeks, experimenting with different fabrics, backing fabrics and of course getting to know my sewing machine!

Thankfully I knew how to use a sewing machine and didn't need help, plus YouTube was a major help when I was struggling!! And with money being low, I could only afford a little bit of fabric at a time, so the process was slow, but at least it made me try to perfect them right away!!

I've so many projects up my sleeve that I am working on at the moment that its quite early to share just yet!!! but you will find out soon :)

Im super nervous when it comes to projects as I'm just a perfectionist with my work! Im the worst critic of my work, as I found out from college!!

So, *Drum Roll* let me introduce to you the Bandana Bibs! Ive yet to choose a name for them and I've still a little more work to do!!

Emilee has been wearing them for about three weeks now, and I'm super happy how they look on her! Perfect timing as she's starting to dribble like crazy!!

They are made out of 100% soft cotton, for delicate faces! Im still working on the backing, making sure the dribbles don't soak through, Emilee is doing great being my Guinea Pig ;) & of course she's loving the photo shoots ;) My goals are to have Emilee from head to toe wearing my crafts... Ha joking! Or am I? ;)

With this project i'd love to grow more and make Bandana Bibs for those who are willing to buy off me! And with that, ill be adding more & more projects to the list!!

Ive many patterns/prints that I wish to share, but it is a slow and patient process!! I want the bibs to be 100% perfect for everyone,  Im putting most of my time into making the bibs!

I love anything crafty & artistic so I'm super excited that I'm making Emilee a few bits for her to enjoy :) and for myself to be proud that she's wearing something I've made!

If anyone is interested in the bandana bibs please PM me on Facebook and we can discuss it further :)
I will be posting new designs and new crafts on my Facebook page Raising Crazy Things, so make sure you've liked my page to get updates :)

Review: Lascal Maxi Buggyboard

When I was expecting Emilee, we tried our hardest to get Kayden to walk instead of being in the buggy as we weren't going to purchase a double buggy and have him grow out of it in a few months.

But it was hard, he keep running away and wouldn't hold our hands or walk beside us, we were frustrated and annoyed at the same time thinking we will have to purchase a buggy so that it would be easy on us to go out and about on our day.

Until I heard of the buggy board, I liked the thought of the idea so I researched into the board (Yes, i research everything), its suitable for 2 years and up and fits 99% of all buggies. We purchased the Icandy peach 3 buggy. So I was a little worried it wouldn't fit, but thankfully the website has tutorials on every buggy as I was able to see how to attach the board.

We ended up purchasing the buggy board in my home town, but it is also available in Smyths for 79.99euro.

It is a bit pricey, Thankfully we were given it as a gift for when Emilee was born. But in saying that I would have purchased it myself.

It was a little tricky to put together, but on the other hand we were in the parking lot LOL!!
At first we put it on wrong, so it was little awkward at first until we finally figured it out and SUCCESS we had a great shopping trip without Kayden running away or having a tantrum that we weren't going into the shop that he wanted to go into!! Also a plus is that he could entertain Emilee as she Loves to talk to her big brother!

But I must say it does have some disadvantages - its quite hard to do sharp turns as his weight is holding it down, and just writing this blog i found out the near top weight is 20KG and I'm pretty sure he's a little heavier than 20kg :( If its not clicked in properly it will unhook as you turn, which is a nightmare to hold a three year old on try click it back with one hand!

But honestly it makes our day outings and shopping trips SO much easier! It has saved my life and has given me a stress free day without worrying if we are going to be running after a hyper toddler while tackling the groceries!

Also which is get is that while putting it together you don't need any tools, in the box is given all the nitty gritty things you might need for your certain buggy, but i would advise on looking up tutorials on youtube or on the website to see how to attach the board.

The picture is a little blurry but you can clearly see how easy it fits on the buggy and how comfortly Kayden looks standing on the buggy board!

Overall, I've mixed feeling sabot the buggy board but I'm glad it makes our outings a lot easier!

Review: Smashbox Shapematters Palette

Last week I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Smashbox Shapematters palette! It was a star gift in Boots last week and was on offer for 38euro, in which the full price was 78euro! Can you believe that!!!

Its a palette that covers Brows, Contouring and Highlighting & Eyeshadows! basically an all in one palette! all you need extra is your foundation and concealer & some lippy!

This is my first purchase from Smashbox so I was super excited to get my hands on it!!

My first expression was that the packaging completely sold me! matte black case with gloss black typography! Very classy in my opinion!

* Very bad lighting *

*With Flash*
*Top to bottom*
blackout
Aubergine
Sumatra
Platinum
Posh
Stripped
Champagne
Totally Nude
Vanilla

*Without Flash*

So what do you get for your money?

Brows; The brow products are placed on the far left on the palette with the wax covered with a plastic case, which I thought was pretty genius so that the powder wouldn't ruin the wax! It then has two brow powders in Taupe & Soft brown. I used the soft brown on my outer brow and surprisingly taupe is the perfect lighter colour for my inner brow, I then groomed my brow to blend the powders and to make it look like a more natural full brow! The wax is nice and soft and holds the powder all day, and the powders are easily blended and quite creamy!

Face; I'm a total contour freak! I can not go one day without contouring, as my face is very round, I feel it gives my face some definition so I was super eager to try the contour and highlighting!! The contour is the perfect grey tone for under your cheek bone, the bronzer doesn't give an orange tone which is brilliant and warms up my face amazingly. I find the highlight doesn't actually "highlight" my skin quite as my as glow does. but I actually used it as an under eye setting powder and I found this worked perfectly, I pressed the powder under my eyes as I do tend to crease and it held my concealer very well! As for the Glow! AMAZING, loved the finish it gave my skin. Im very into the dewy look for Autumn/Winter as my skin does tend to look dry around this time of year that I wanted to make my skin look nice and fresh!

Eyes; I found after my first use of the eyeshadows, the palette got quite dusty but other than that the colour is quite pigmented and creamy! They are so easy to blend and are great at building! The first row of eyeshadows looks to me to be "base" or "all over" colours. Vanilla and Totally Nude are Matte shades and Champagne is a shimmer shade. The second row would be really nice as transition shades or lovely in the crease for a very light day look. They would also be great as an over all colour. My favourite is Stripped, its a great warm toned - off orange for transition shade! Stripped is Matte and Posh & Platinum are Shimmer. The last row in which are great for defining the crease or outer V are dark shades, great for evening makeup or just a strong eye look. Sumatra, Aubergine and Blackout are all Matte. I find these dark shades to last and to have the most pigment.

Included in the Palette is a two ended brush, brow and eyeshadow. Also a very LARGE mirror which is the perfect size to do a full face!! There is also a little packet of How To cards that you can go online and look at tutorials! Great idea for those who are unsure on how to use this palette!

Overall, Im in love with this palette, I've been using it every day. I find it so handy not having to root through my makeup to find a certain eyeshadow or my brow products. It was a great purchase and with that offer who could turn it down?

All About Emmi: 3 Month Update

Emilee isn't quite yet 3 months, but she just turned 12 weeks so all in all, she's around 3 months old :)

AGE: 12 weeks/3 months

WEIGHT: I've no idea how much she weights :(

HEIGHT: 57cm!! shes so long!!

SLEEPING: Catnapping during the day, not quite in a routine nap time but falls asleep after her bottle for one-two hours! sleep7-8 hours at night, and then another 4 hours after her morning bottle!

TEETH: Ive such a feeling she's starting to teeth! Red cheeks and dribbling like mad, may not have teeth for another good while but it may be the start! :(

PLAYING: Loves attention from anyone!! as soon as she knows your close, she will talk away and just wants your full attention :) she loves watching everything so closely, the tele, kayden playing/running around, us talking! she's very aware of everything!

PERSONALITY: She's a cheeky little Diva! Loves to mess with her bottle when she's full! Loves to give out to get attention! once your talking to her she's just as smiley as can be! a grin from ear to ear!! So adorable!!

CURRENT CLOTHING SIZE: still in 0-3 months clothes, but id say she will soon be out of them and into 3-6 months!

DIAPER SIZE: When i was pregnant, we bought loads of nappies, like id say ten or more packs in different sizes, and we've just ran out of size 2, so instead of buying more we started using some 3, they are big on her but she's not having any leaks or that so its all good :)

WORDS: still coo'ing like crazy! as soon as your near, she starts talking to you telling her little stories, whether they are good or bad stories. she's a little chatter box already :)

RECENT MILESTONES: Emilee had her first chuckle last week :D, she was in the bath and i had no idea what I was doing but she just broke out in laughter and I just cried LOL! I might of tickled her or something! Pietro even heard it from the other room it was that loud lol! Hasn't chuckled since then, i am trying my hardest to get her to laugh but no use LOL she'll laugh in her own time :)

Her two month injections were a nightmare, she roared through them, but it didn't effect her mood the next few days so everything went okay :)

She has a appointment at the end of october for a development/weight check up with the health nurse so ill know her weight for her 4 month update :)

She's a happy bubbly little girl :)

Review: Caboo NCT baby Carrier

When i was pregnant with Emilee, I researched into Baby wearing!

I totally feel in love with the idea of baby wearing that i looked into the right carrier for me!
And wow are they expensive!!

I wanted a carrier that was the right price but also that would suit a newborn until Emilee didn't want to be in the carrier anymore!

I looked into the big brands, but it turned out you have to buy add ons to suit newborns etc!

I then went to have a look in boots, they had a good selection but mostly slings and carriers that didnt suit newborns!

Thats when i came across Caboo Carrier!

I researched more about this carrier, on youtube it gave me tutorials on how to use the carrier!
you can but the baby in four positions;
facing forward
breastfeeding position
and then there is the different ways in facing you, arms tucked in (Newborn) and arms and head out (4m+)

It comes in a little bag which is handy to bring with you, nice and neatly tucked away!

inside the bag then is your carrier!!

So it comes in a way that you dont need to wrap it around you yourself, so you place it over you head and your arms in the sides! also have the rings to tuck tighter or loosen as your baby grows

This the front that would be on your chest/tummy when you have it on.
It is quiet easy to put the baby in, in the manual it gives you different ways and how to place baby in safety and properly!

the one thing when i research is that the babys legs have to be in a "W" as if it isn't, it can really harm baby's hips! so every time she's in the carrier ins the first thing i check!!

So  when you turn the bag inside out, it gives you an extra wrap for support and warmth for the baby!

heres some pictures of Emilee in the baby carrier;

Im absolutely in love with baby wearing! I would encourage any new mammy to baby wear!
Emilee sleeps all the time she's in the carrier, so it just proves that she feels safe and warm!
And she knows she with her mammy ;)

Its super comfy, i wore it when we went to boora parklands,
if you want to read what we got up to in Boora, click here
I wore it for a total of two and a half hours, during the end my back was a little sore but I do have problems with my back!

Overall im so happy i brought the baby carrier and can't wait to use it even more :)

September Empties.

I've decided to do Monthly Empties,
With the products I've used, if it was worth the money, did it last long etc
Here goes :)

This month I've gone through a lot of products to think about it!
between hair products, fake tan to makeup!

The first product I've used up is Vo5 revive me daily shampoo and conditioner! I got this on offer in Asda i think it was 4 for 3£ at the time! which works out to be over 5e
So I've been using this set for over a month and i must say i love it!
especially with my hair falling out and being dry! This has really helped along with getting my hair cut! I have another set with I'm currently using now.

I probally won't re-purchase, but I might try some other type in the brand!

I absolutely LOVE bBold tan! its one of the best I've every tried only downside is that its 18e per bottle!
The bottle did last me a fews months! The colour is great and it has the colour when your applying so you dont miss an area or have streaks, its easy to apply (I use a tanning mitt) and the tan lasts about 5-7 days, of course longer if you look after your tan it will last a good while!!

One of the best dry shampoos, I always re-purchase Bastiste no matter what! I love all the different kinds especially the tropical for its lovely scent!

Ive had this pressed powder for about three months, it isn't the first thing i go grab for setting my makeup (As you can tell it isn't used up) but I've hit pan and that when i usually stop using my products! Its does its job but I've had better drugstore powders! I won't be re-puchasing this powder, as I want to try out some new ones. Any suggestions?:)

Revlon photo ready airbrush effect foundation is probably my go to drugstore foundation, i find it very like Mac studio fix! It give a lovely finish and it is build able coverage! It does have a little glitter in the formula but it isn't truly noticeable, i suppose that is for the photography side of thing!

I have very short eyelashes, and I'm always trying to find a mascara to lengthen the, and to give volume. This rimmel mascara doesn't really work for me but for some reason i kept using it and picking it over other mascaras!! I will be buying another mascara as i still haven't found the one i love yet!!

As you can see Im defiantly in love with Maybelline The Eraser eye concealer!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! Can't get enough, it doesn't crease on me and covers my dark circle!! I use the colour light, but it nearly matches my foundation so it doesn't really brighten my under eye!

I used the sample size all up :( boo!! but thats okay because i still have the full size left!
Its a great primer but I'm not sure what the hype is all about! Its a good primer but I've also used good drugstore primers for half the price!!

Well thats all my empties for this month :)
What is your most used product?
